This seems like the first Apple Watch which is actually any good. I'm actually interested to get one...

I guess Gruber did not see this review from TheVerge - not exactly a glowing endorsement:

The Verge review is stupid. It talks about two problems, one acknowledged problem with a demo unit they were using and another acknowledged problem with connecting to unknown Wifi networks instead of LTE for which a fixed is being worked on. They could have just said there a teething issues rather than spend the whole review banging on about it.

BUT WHY IS THE DOT RED

You're not that important, John.

To Be Fair:
C'mon, that's not fair. People *do* need Gruber... to be as far away as possible from them.

"The original Apple Watch was too slow. It was too dependent on being tethered to an iPhone. The user interface was too unfocused."
Yet again, Grubs reveals his utterly dishonourable dishonesty. He only admits to serious flaws in Apple products when they're a) undeniable and widely reported and, more frequently, b) when new models come out that fix those flaws, meaning he can safely critique without being sacrilegious.
My wife had an original Apple Watch and it was so slow as to be unusable. Within two days it was in the back of a cupboard. These flaws were obvious THEN but spitty corporate whore child Grub only admits them NOW.

@Dangling: Agree 100% percent about Grubs dishonesty. Go back and look at his sneering comments toward the first Samsung smartwatch, about how its interface sucked and it was too slow.
