Q*Bert:
If they could get Musk to sell for $33B, they should definitely do it. But they'd probably have to put a very large premium on it.

Holy crap, John. "(in my mind)" -- this is the tell that it's a fucking tongue in cheek type of thing. And you file it away with a reminder to dig it up again in 18 months? What a small, small man.

Also, "claim chowder" is not nearly as funny or clever as you think it is. Adding adjectives like "fresh", "delicious", etc, do not make it funnier. Just for future reference.

i don't see anything wrong with calling out bullshit predictions. people make these predictions just to get press, and obviouslty they're often wrong. but by the time it's obvious they were wrong, no one cares any more. it's kinda bullshit.

Here's my own prediction…file it away for a claim sandwich if you like.

*If* Apple ever buys Telsa—and I don't think they will—it will be for a lot less than $75B. A lot less than $33B, too. It would only once the market realizes that Telsa has good technology, but not the potential for profit nor the justification for their marketshare.

All that said, I still think it would be odd for Apple to make automobiles, rather than software that runs on automobiles. Stranger things have happened, so have yourself a claimuccino on me when they do.

thing is, apple likes to control the whole experience. they don't license ios, and they don't license mac os. they don't want some shitty third teir OEM making "apple computers" with shitty hardware and shitty driver support and lack of testing, etc. so if they do make a car, they're going to make the whole thing to their specifications.

I think it was the Motorola ROKR that ingrained into Apple's DNA "let's never do that again".

The longer the clock ticks, the less of a jump Tesla has on, well, everyone.

From the Department of Late Corrections, I mean, justification for their market cap.

ALL analysts predictions are pretty much crap. Picking out one to grandstand on isn't really doing much.

You could do the same thing by searching for quotes from Yahoo finance with a date based search on your search engine of choice and writing some crap about it.
