Are you filing this away for claim chowder?

I have an iPad mini. Why? Because I had two of the old full-size iPads and found that while I like having one, I don't necessarily want to carry it around with me all the time.

This is the same reason I don't have an iPhone 6 or 6+ sized device - they're too big for my mobile uses. I use the iPad mini for reading and computer management tasks, amongst others.

Getting rid of the mini would not push me towards getting a 6+. I would most likely move towards an Android device if the supply of used minis dried up.

This seems like a bad call (if it comes to fruition).

As for the iPad Pros - if I want something that big, I'll get a Macbook or Macbook Air.

I'm going to predict, no. I recall when Samsung had a multitude of tablets, sometimes differing by one or two tenths of an inch in size, but this would be a very un-Apple thing to do.

If I'm wrong, I'll say, "This never would have happened if Steve Jobs was still alive."

File this one away for claimberry pie.

gruber circlejerk:
The mini is great in specific use cases, such as an in-cockpit GPS for pilots using ForeFlight, Garmin Pilot or some of the free alternatives on smaller planes. In a 172, for example, the 9.7" iPad may be too large to yoke mount or use in a kneepad.

Super High:
I have both Mac and iPad and I wouldn't trade one for another. They are both perfectly suit me on different occasion. iPad is always more personal than Mac, and so I don't think Apple will be getting rid of Mini. My point is, Kuo has been wrong many times before.
