To Be Fair:
Holy shit, right out of the gate Gruber shows how clueless he is, by not recognizing that he has the classic symptoms of a failing battery in his iPhone 6s.

Yet both he and Ritchie misunderstand the problem, and think it has something to do with the software being "tricked" about the battery level.

**No, you shitheads.** The battery is failing and thus actually has a rapid drop in battery voltage. It's not a trick, your battery is actually fucked.

Is there anything Gruber is knowledgeable about? He doesn't understand hardware, he doesn't understand software, he doesn't understand how the market for apps works. What's left, besides knowing how to blow his corporate overlords?

Well, for the overlords being blown, this is a fairly important "skill."

Ritchie: "We don't kick people when they're down."

Gruber: *Ignores Ritchie's comment.*

There are few people as intolerable to listen to than John Gruber.

Rene Ritchie is one of them.

toolshed:
I dunno. Rene is one of the least egotistical people in the Apple suckosphere. A true enthusiast, with no agenda except self-preservation. Probably as boring as bat-shit in real life but pretty decent on podcasts.

To Be Fair:
Yeah, Ritchie doesn't seem to be as much of a raging turdmonster as most of his guests are.

Eddie:
Rene used to be alright, but over the last couple of years his cheer leading and defending every single thing Apple does has become tiresome.

But you guys are right, it's unfair for me to compare him the ultimate douche bag.
