The anti-theft angle is absurd, but AirPods will easily and frequently get lost. Wish they had like a chirp feature to help you find them (if the battery remains active).

AirPods are using earbud design. They're not IMEs. That means that they are prone to falling out.

Imagine you're rushing to catch a subway train or something... these things will fall off. You're either gonna break them or lose them.

AirPods design is fucking garbage.

Gruber uses Google?

I thought he was a Duck Fuck Go guy.

Or maybe he uses Bing since he's taking that Microsoft money.

no word anywhere about how these things stay in the ear..

I mean. isn't it ABC ?

you bike with that, you turn your head, POOF 80$ gone in a drain or under a wheel, if not 160.

you jog in the woods, POOF !

you remove your scarf, POOF !

etc etc etc.

I understand the role of Apple democratising access to glimpses of the future, with the inconvenience of the price.. but they now add design flaws on top of it.. boy..

I used to have the Apple Bluetooth headset thing, having it pop out of your ears while just walking around wasn't ever really a problem. For exercise...maybe a problem.

But I mean people drop their phones, cameras, eyeglasses, etc. all the time onto railroad tracks, off balconies/cliffs, out of car windows, into koi ponds, and so forth. I don't think it's Apple's job to prevent you from ever dropping or losing your stuff.
