He was swearing within 5 seconds of the show. For some reason, it bothered me.

What does he have to say about the Pixel?
12:52 pm — Thursday, 27 October 2016
Shocker, he doesn't like Android. Although to be fair, he acknowledged that this was probably because he was used to iOS.
More importantly, neither he nor Moltz knew that the old ass 13 inch MacBook Pro that apple still sells has a CD drive. They even looked it up and definitively still said it didn't have a CD drive. <sigh> I thought they were supposed to be apple experts?

Hahahh. Well the new one they just announced doesn't, but it does cost $1500 for an i5 and 8gb RAM.

Gruber on the Pixel:
"I still don't like the colors on the OLED display."
Until next year, when the iPhone switches to OLED.

It's always tech that is premature, tech that is throwing spaghetti at the wall, tech that is unrefined.
Of course until Apple does it.
Then its groundbreaking, revolutionary, amazing and magical.

Touchbar uses OLED I believe, we'll see if he likes those colors.

Holy crap Gruber is an awful awful communicator. His train wreck of a self was in a recent Incomparable podcast. I forgot just how terrible he was.

To Be Fair:
>His train wreck of a self was in a recent Incomparable podcast. I forgot just how terrible he was.
It's bad enough when he's awful on his own podcast. It's much worse when he ruins other, better podcasts, with his bloviating.
The Incomparable is usually highly enjoyable - but whenever Gruber or Ihnatko are on, they just ruin the whole thing by interrupting otherwise decent conversations.
