> That doesn’t mean Apple should change its structure, though — and in the long run, I don’t even think that would be good the Macintosh. Apple’s functional structure is absolutely central to their success over the past 20 years.
And if we've learned anything from the stories of Xerox, IBM, Microsoft and the like, it's that corporate structures should never, ever change if a company has had success previously.

Is there anything about Apple that ((Gruber)) won't defend?
9:42 pm — Monday, 28 November 2016
Just skip over all this shit and read Ben Thompson's article about Apple's org structure:

The sooner Cook/Cue/Schiller depart Apple, the better.
Apple's been very stagnant for the past 5 years.

Reading that Ben Thompson post really brings home how little effort Gruber puts into his writing these days. Can you even imagine an article of that depth or thoroughness coming coming out of Daring Fireball? Which sucks, because I really do think John has a lot of interesting things to say when he bothers to write out his ideas at length. Maybe podcasting has made him lazy. Why consider an idea and transpose it into some coherent form when you can just ramble into a microphone for two hours?

Matthew Yglesias has never written anything interesting. Vox has never published anything interesting.
Really interesting commentary at Statechery, though.

Hey, anonymous nazi, I hear the (((minyan))) is ready for your pretty mouth. Again.

Vox is where shit writers go to die.
Remember their "Don't worry, Ebola can't harm you" bullshit?
It's almost like they're a fake news site funded by George "I'm a good billionaire" Soros and his DailyKos friends...except instead of foaming at the mouth like DK they slap a veneer of reasonableness on their stuff.

Vox = total fucking propaganda garbage
2:24 am — Tuesday, 29 November 2016
Patrick Henry, the 2nd:
Yglesias is a fucking idiot. He's the one who is a complete shill for leftist politicians and organizations. He's a propagandist at a propaganda site. He's the one who said people would love Obamacare, when instead its a shit show of raising costs, and eliminating doctors.
The problem isn't Apple's organizational structure, its the people running the organization. They need to wake the fuck up and stop doing dumb shit.

Apple favours iPhone. Simple as that. Either there's more accountability and a restructure in good faith, or the management get a fucking spine and start beating their employees up with golden mallets.

Nothing is "required" here, dipstick.

Very persuasive. I can see I was wrong to be skeptical of your claim that the ACA is a shit show of raising costs and eliminating doctors.
