Hmm.... No doubt this is supposed to be some warning about Trump and some perception of him being an autocrat, but I see far more autocratic tendencies from SJWs than Trump voters.

I wonder what the demographics of those young people look like, and how the responses break down across demographic groups.

Breaking News:
The Left has been financed by Russia for decades, in a long game of destabilization.

The pathetic morons of the left don't even realize it.

Don't they realize that their "liberal ideals" fail consistently over time in every country that attempts to implement them, and inevitably lead to authoritarianism and dictatorship?

As a side note, the only revolutions that have lasted are the ones run by adults.

TOP KEK! Are you fucking retarded? Russia hasn't had a pot to piss in for decades. They're incredibly poor.

You know who financed left? Soros. Soros and the rest of the anti-nationalist jews who want to destroy countries. Soros gave MILLIONS of Black Lives Matter to further destabilize the US through racial divisions.

Now that's a fact.

Look, I don't like Trump either. However, it's a very simple decision to remove this site from my feeds forever... and with each passing day that Gruber continues to post his choice political drivel, I'm about at that point. I've been here since 2003, when the site came as a default in NetNewsWire. I even have multiple DF tshirts. I've here for honest Apple commentary and been tolerant of the occasional Yankees shitposting. If this is a political site now, I have no interest in sticking around.

The real reason independent blogs are dying is because most independent bloggers aren't putting the same amount of effort into their projects that they used to.

Exactly. His political commentary is so half-assed, and even his Apple commentary is pretty poorly thought out these days. He (and other independent bloggers) used to try so much harder.

Resorting to name calling rather than actually taking on his issue that PC culture is far more "authoritarian" than whatever Trump is about.

It's the last desperate gasp of someone tired of mental gymnastics.

OK, then explain to me how "SJWs" or or "PC Culture" is "more authoritarian" than what Trump is about?

The "PC Culture" basically just wants people to treat each other with respect. Trump wants to torture people. Trump wants to deport people. Trump wants to lock people up who disagree with him. Trump want to criminalize flag burning.

How is the "PC Culture" anywhere near as authoritarian as Trump?

Because Trump isn't going to do any of those things.

He isn't going to deport people...he's going to send criminals back to their countries.

He's not going to lock up people who disagree with him.

He's not going to criminalize flag burning.

These are the paranoid thoughts of a mind brainwashed by legacy media. You've been told to think a certain way, and you're more than happy to oblige.

The thing about PC culture is that it is ACTUALLY happening. Colleges are opening safe spaces, and segregating dorms.

Street cops are too scared about ramifications to do their job effectively.

PC Culture is a cancer that is slowly spreading throughout this country, it was killing it. And now, Trump is hopefully going to quickly end it.

So, he just continually lies to the American people?

>He isn't going to deport people...he's going to send criminals back to their countries.

OK, so taking you at your word, which is more authoritarian? Sending criminals back to their country, or not sending them back?

Obviously, sending them back requires more authoritarianism.

>He's not going to criminalize flag burning.

>These are the paranoid thoughts of a mind brainwashed by legacy media.

What the fuck are you talking about? This isn't a fabrication of the media. This is something that Trump said himself in a tweet, just a couple of days ago.

Taking Trump at his word is now "paranoid"?

>The thing about PC culture is that it is ACTUALLY happening. Colleges are opening safe spaces, and segregating dorms.

Do you even know what a "safe space" actually is? There's nothing authoritarian about them.

I'm not sure what you're talking about when it comes to "segregating dorms."

Also, colleges aren't the government.

>Street cops are too scared about ramifications to do their job effectively.

If that's the case, then those police aren't suitable for the job. But what I think you actually mean is that you want cops to be able to shoot innocent people without repercussions.

>PC Culture is a cancer that is slowly spreading throughout this country, it was killing it. And now, Trump is hopefully going to quickly end it

You have no connection to reality. Everything you've said is based on lies and propaganda.

"Militaries that answer to democratic civilian authority are the bedrock of Western civilization."

Gruber hates the military, is contemptuous of the democratic process (see his posts on Trump) and would be hard-pressed to explain the defining characteristics of the West and why they are worth upholding.

If you raise a generation ignorant of history and civics, they will understand the value of democracy or the wisdom of their culture

If you allow an elite (left and right) to thumb their nose the public, citizens will become skeptical of the power of the democratic process to effect change and reflect their opinions.

This is actually true even for non-fucked-up cops. Take a walk down Market Street in San Francisco. You will see so many people who are completely out of their minds. You will see an asshole with a megaphone shouting about how God hates “fags and fag enablers.” And the cops will give him a hundred verbal warnings and never lock him up or fine him because they don’t have the support of the city to make the streets actually respectable.

Entities that are subject to federal regulations are indistinguishable from the government? Fascinating.
