Like President Trump gives a fuck about bunch of corps exploiting people.

He only cares about American workers.

Fuck all these billionaires who exploit the nation.

It's about freedom! As in, don't touch our freedom to exploit H1-B for cheap, timid immigrant labor!!!

It's not a ban.

And what exactly do these companies want?

If they came forward with a sane proposal immigration reform, Trump would listen.

But this isn't really about skilled immigration. It's about cheap housekeepers and gardeners, and multiculturalist virtue signaling.

Yes it is. Trump called it one on Twitter. Before that, he told Giuliani that he wanted a muslim ban and asked him how to make it legal. Or so said Giuliani himself during an interview on Fox, but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't make up something like that.

No amount of parroting CNN-HuffPo-Slate-Vox talking points magically transforms this into a ban.

Most Muslims remain unaffected.

To be clear: I would support a ban. This is not a ban.

I'm not parroting anyone. I saw a fucking video of the interview myself.

For now. A complete ban is Trump's end-game. You are delusional if you think differently. Which most of Trumps supporters are. And he himself for that matter.

>To be clear: I would support a ban. This is not a ban.

Then you are a shitty human being.

Giuliani isn't in the administration.

And even if he were and even if he used that term, it's still not a ban. We know what a ban would look like – the word actually has a meaning that resists leftist Newspeak redefinition –and it's nothing like this.

It's cute how quickly you guys resort to name calling in lieu of an argument.

Why do I need proof when the POTUS operates in denial of actual facts? I'm just taking the lead of your Lord and Saviour.

And on second thought, you guys are right. He's not seeking a TOTAL ban on muslims. After all, he does do business in some of the countries that he didn't ban. I'm sure the Saudis will show their appreciation by stopping their citizens from killing ours in the future.

Shake it around:
They all will lose. It's unclear why they're picking this fight. They shouldn't be blowing their load on the upcoming H1B visa fight.

The line of reasoning from the judge from Mass will prevail. Commercial interests can never trump security issues.

Even Eisenhower nationalized the steel industry for a short time, an action that was upheld by the courts.

Hopefully the companies involved get fucked, and fucked hard.

An interview or a tweet is not an official legal position.

The actual order is not a ban, its a temporary suspension of immigration until they determine the proper vetting.

I'm no Trump supporter (I am firmly in the #NeverTrump camp), but the wailing, hand wringing, misleading statements, and outright lies by the left has me supporting him more and more.

And that's why we have Trump. Because we can't have a civil honest discussion. The left would rather cause a ruckus instead of working together.

Its sad really.

What evidence is there that the vetting isn't proper already? There have been no terror attacks on US soil that have been carried out by refugees, nor have any been carried out by citizens from the countries on the ban list. None. Zero. Nada.

this is the most ridiculous thing i've ever read. give me a fucking break, the right was all about obstructionism for the last 8 years, and now they want to condemn democrats for not working together and giving trump a chance? remember when they promised to opposed obama's supreme court pick before he even named anyone? and remember when they said democrats were playing politics when they did the same thing? remember how they (meaninglessly) voted to repeal the aca 50something times, at a huge cost to the taxpayers, and 7 years later they still have no plan? remember how they did 7 investigations into benghazi, and managed to find nothing?

so please, keep telling me it's the democrats that causing a ruckus.

"Because the Subcommittee does not have access to the Administration’s databases and files, it continues to lack critical information on most of the individuals on the list."

Get back to me when you have details of what these "terror" activities were; if they took place on US soil; and the nationalities/refugee status of those people. Then consolidate that into a list of terror acts committed on US soil by refugees and/or citizens of the countries on the "temporary" ban list.

.... waiting on remainder of details requested...

Look, let's be clear about this. That news release, which was put out by a pair of Republican senators with a bone to pick with Obama, is very very thin on details. Shit, even THEY don't know the details. It's all allegations "[b]ased on open-source research", which may be largely bullshit or bad data for all we know.
