Here's an alternative theory: Most users won't care about the logo when using their device in landscape because they won't be looking at the logo, smugly reminding themselves how amazing they are for owning a Samsung. They'll be using the device to access content.

Nice 'logo orientation' burn John. However, this was clearly a lost opportunity to point out that printing SAMSUNG in all caps is typographically obnoxious so no cookie from me. Try harder next time.

LOL I find it hilarious that Grubs has such an anger hard-on for this. Anyone remember the iBook/PowerBook logo being upside down when the screen was open?? Apple was so stupid with their stupid stupidness.

It's an odd product. The tablet uses the older Snapdragon 820 and the performance is slower than the now year old iPad Pro and similar to the cheap iPad, and the design is rather conservative as well.
The main differentiators are the included Wacom stylus and the AMOLED display, but its price is also accordingly high. Is it Samsung's attempt to address the niche high end Android tablet market at the expense of quantity?

The Apple logo is sideways on my iPad when using it in landscape orientation, which surely is considered an eyesore by everyone who sees that passing by. Well, at least *I* don't have to be distracted or otherwise suffer from it.
