Since when are "app thinning" and "delta updates" the same thing?

Facebook app is pretty complicated with a lot of features. 154mb doesn't seem obscene to me?

How much is a single photo with Live Photos and HDR frames?

If it was 500mb+ that would be one thing

The problem seems to be the frequency of updates, not the size. When I forget to charge my iPad for a couple of weeks there are 30-40 app updates pending. The cumulative data required over a year to perform all these updates is mind boggling.

Data is free on wifi. Who gives a fuck.

You know what app was probably built to be small? Vesper.

These companies need to build great features, not obsess over shrinking the app.

That’s FB Messenger, not the base FB app. You know, the Messenger app they spilt off from the main FB app because its size was becoming unmanageable? That one.

Do you want a phone with no room for your own content? Because that’s how you get a phone with no room for your own content.
