1. These people are not Americans.

2. These people are not immigrants.

3. It's well documented that the glut of unskilled and low-skilled workers – legal and illegal – have boosted the real unemployment rate and driven down wages.

4. The solution to the expense of an overly-large state is not an immigration ponzi scheme. Stop taxing people to death so they can afford families and you won't need to import children from the third world.

5. It was unconstitutional for Obama to have signed DACA and it would have been unconstitutional for Trump to have done the same.

So... leave immigration policy up to the President? How's that working out? There really doesn't seem to be any downside to DACA, except that it's not legislation. Congress could fix this over the next month if they want.

No, push it to Congress. If they can pass the RAISE Act, mandate e-verify and, yes, fund Mr Trump's wall, a DACA amnesty would be appropriate.

We know that Krugman has no good argument to oppose ending DACA because he is forced to lean on the specter of racism to make his case.

What's worse is that Gruber clearly regards this as some kind of slam dunk, as it's the segment he chose to highlight.

They literally have no argument but "anyone who disagrees is racist" – and that's their argument for everything at this point.

Frankly speaking:
Obama fucked hispanics with DACA.

Instead of forging a legislative solution like he did with ObamaCare, he screwed them with an EO.

Hispanics and the press are just too stupid to realize that the way things are done is important. If the Democrats had implemented a legislative solution then DACA wouldn't be up to the whim of a President. They didn't, tough shit.

Nice try at revisionist history. Congress refused to act on his request that they provide a legislative solution, so he issued an EO.

Ah, so whenever the president feels that congress isn't doing what he wants, he can just circumvent the process by executive edict?

Why even have a congress at all?

Don't worry. Leftists on working on that.

As Trump has discovered, passing legislation is work. You either do the work or your legislation doesn't pass.

Obama did just fine ramming Obamacare through both houses. What, you mean that the Republicans didn't want to play anymore after being ignored re: Obamacare? Tough shit dumbfuck, that's why you don't fuck the other side of the aisle.

Trump getting the Obamacare repeal through the House was classic legislative trading. He didn't get it through the Senate on the first try, but he has at least three more years.

Legislation is ugly because it requires consensus, and getting a consensus is a lot of work. Obama probably thought that the Republicans would just bend over and suck is big black dick, but it doesn't work that way.

So you are OK with Trump issuing EOs to bypass congress? A congress that is as Republican as he is?

No. Its just as wrong for Trump to do it as Obama.

DACA fucked over these people. Because it was about to be struct down by a court anyway, Trump is actually helping them.

But that doesn't fit the narrative, so we must ignore the facts.
