Vinson's post and Gruber's comments are insane.

Who cares that they didn't choose a woman? Do you know anything about the process they used to identify the 32? Do you know if 'has penis' was on the checklist?

Do you really think women are so weak, feeble and dominated by patriarchy that they need quotas for adequate representation?

The real crime here would have been if they had included women only for the sake of including women.

I hope Nikon aren't asking anyone from the Huffington Post editors meeting to hold the camera for this picture:

This ^^^

And this ^^^

Including people, any person based on gender, race, where they were born is weak shit.

Excluding people, any person based on gender, race, where they were born is weak shit.

I am fucking outraged!

Yes, he does. Gruber and his SJW brethren think that women, minorities, gays, and so on are incapable of succeeding without the help of government do gooders and woke white men like themselves. They are what they purport to be against: sexist, racist, condescending patriarchs.

You know who else didn't get selected by Nikon? 7 billion other people. Hurt that you didn't get selected? Become a better photographer, or promote yourself better. And while you're at it, stop thinking of yourself as some member of an arbitrary group, and instead as an individual who is the one most capable of turning yourself into a success.

If you think it's up to someone else to make changes to their behavior to make yourself successful, you're doomed to failure. And that's why liberals are so destructive to people's well being: they've doomed people to failure with their promises to rescue them.

I'm not Straight White Male #1,214,473,892. I'm jimothy, and I don't need Gruber or Pelosi to rescue me.

Can we stop focusing on gender, already? Do you say "I'm off to my female dentist" or "I'm off to the dentist"? Good lord.I would be so offended if I were a woman. I would want to be judged based on my talents rather than on whether I had a vagina or not. Facepalm. Gruber - wake up!
9:33 pm — Friday, 15 September 2017
Hear me roar:
I think you guys are right! There is not a single woman on earth who is as good or better than these 32 photographers. Oh, wait, that's stupid.

And since this is, essentially, a marketing campaign and not some weird objective merit-based ranking, at least throw a bone to some members of the other 50% of the population.

I'm sure women everywhere are glad they've got you, a man, to speak for them.

Also, it would be fantastic if Nikon made their selection based on talent instead of gender. Which is not what happened here. The selected based on gender, not talent.

So, shouldn't you be offended about this obvious gender bias?

How do you or anyone know that Nikon didn't select based on talent alone? Or, perhaps the categories they selected were obviously male dominated? The comments on that article were precious: zero POC.

So we agree that black males are superior at sports.

What about crime?

Because if choosing 32 people based on merit, there's no way all 32 are men without sexism coming into play.

Your answer to "how do you know" is "I just know".

The fact is you don't know and non of us do. Not without actual proof.

If were 32 pre-school teachers and they all happened to be women would there be any outrage?

How about if was for 32 roofers and they all happened to be men? Same outrage?

Fstoppers looks kind of like a soft-core porn website where almost all of the models are women. No problem with that. It would be very easy to find my 32 favorite photos on their website and come up with nothing but women. The outrage!
