I am surprised by Gruber's boldness. But he's not wrong, either. My reaction, at first, was defeat--Google may be evil, but I still prefer the superior search results that it offers. And they one fair and square, however you slice it, especially outside Hamerika. So perhaps, in this case, Apple's financial motivations just happen to line up on this issue with a credible user experience.

Then again, perhaps they don't. We'll never know. :(

How does a sentence like that get written? I'd expect shilling like that from Loop Insight but not Tech Crunch.

Change it to "Apple CLAIMS is the main motivation" and we're golden.
