consumer reports has lost their way. as grubs said, they used to do exhaustive testing to justify their recommendations, and they were the best around. buying a new car? get their car issue, because it had tons of data, collected over years.
no, everyone has reviews - amazon, home depot, etc. granted, they're user reviews, but that's good enough for most people. now CR has to resort to crap like this to try to stay relevant.
