I didn't buy it because they made the $9.99 an IAP rather than just selling the app for that price. I would have paid for it, but because it wan an IAP I would have had to buy it multiple times for myself and my kids' devices.

chd you make a good point. Nintendo may have sold more copies at $10 for the family instead. In-app purchases in this manner kind of suck.

Everyone has different tastes in games but I didn't buy it because it wasn't that fun for me.

Why would you have to do that? If they all have the same account for App Store purchases, you can just restore the IAP content after purchasing it on one of the devices. That's what I do.
