1) I'd say it'a a *hypothesis*.

2) The original PrimeSense-based Kinect was not just analyzing an entire body in a room, but also recording its movements. This is a very implementation.

It's a stupid jump in logic to say that some system from 7 years ago made to scan a whole room that had some issues would also have the same problems today, for a different use case (and who knows how much of the original system even carried over).

This is totally weird logic.

It's not difficult to get lightweight UNIX-based systems to run on low-power processors.

It's another thing entirely to fit physical sensors into a small device.
