Average Citizen:
Google was already working on this when Apple announced the HomePod... right?

Also, I wish John were better connected so he could figure out why the HomePod is being delayed in the first place. I get "it wasn't ready", but I also know they've been working on it for years, and they thought it *would* be ready for December just a couple of months ago. So what gives? Are they making it better? Are they making it cheaper? Google and Amazon are eating Apple's lunch, and that sucks because I like Apple's lunch.

This is the third Google Home device and there have been about a dozen from Amazon... all before Apple has shipped a single one.

Apple had an opportunity to gain real leverage over Google... and they completely and utterly blew it.

And nothing about the state of Siri suggests that that is going to change.

Please, would someone show Tim Cook the door?

Someone new, for god's sake. I'm so tired of these sanctimonious old has-beens. Get someone from outside with some actual vision.

Mac Pro is Dead:
These big expensive speakers are going to flop. $50 Echo things + $200 Sonos things leave no room for a $400 iPod HiFi

Feels like it should be around $299 each... but I just ordered two nonetheless.

You ordered two?

Is that what you need to do to get stereo?

"Please, would someone show Tim Cook the door?"

You're going to show the CEO of the most successful company in the world the door because he hasn't shipped a speaker on time?

I thought I'd heard it all...

Tim Cook would be much happier spending his days being a SJW and ruining the country. Let him go.
