That's all good and nice, but the app store still sucks for developers.

Obviously, you couldn't be bothered to perform this basic research yourself.

Gruber never talks about how that revenue is fucking distributed, an dhow the MAJORITY of it is scammy gambly purchases from apps that don't even hide that they are casinos.

Slotomania, et al.

Come on, Gruber. You couldn't even keep your own bespoke app running

A few observations:

Games clearly dominate, which isn't news.

$1 in 1900 equals $27.57 in 2017 which I only mention because its meaningless.

Social apps (facebook) and entertainment apps (HBO, Netflix, the various Youtube's) and of course the rest of Googles apps dominate after games.

outlook is the one app made by Microsoft, it is 49th in FREE.

There is not a single fucking god damn app made by Apple that makes the top 50 in FREE, PAID, or GROSSING.

Why is that? Does Apple really suck that hard at software?

to be fair, Apple pre-installs their more popular apps like Safari, Mail, Podcast, Music, etc.
